Early Summer Camp

Ahh... Finally I get to my blog again.

This is a little to late, but it is SUMMER!!!!! :)

We went on our last family campout last weekend. :( The campsite was right next to the bay at Newport Dunes, so it was really cool and chilly. We went camping with the Dreamcatchers of YMCA, but since everyone had RV's except for us, we became separated. (we didn't mind)

Saturday was the only day really worth talking about, as we got to get into the freezing bay water to horse around. The Newport Dunes camesite workers put out these huge "pool" toys to play with. There were two iceberg themed climbing rocks and a trampoline, but the main two attractions were the Saturn and the double saxaphone rocking thing. For the Saturn, we all clambered on and shifted our weight around to make the planet rock and roll (ha ha) around on the huge ring. It was really fun to feel the wind blowing at you and to sit down for a more fun experience.

The saxaphone thing was the best. We got onto the two sides and put the heaviest people on the top and the lightest on the bottom. Once we did, the top section fell over onto the water, lifting the bottom to the top. The result was kind of like a rocking chair, but better.
